Envisioned and under the creative direction of Mauro Durant – a passionate and knowledgeable man about design, art and all things beauty, and supported by art and design curators, advisors, collectors, editors and mad people, it’s a unique place where the new and the old, the established or emerging, can live together happily and with a democratic and relaxed approach to it – at Madnesses the client becomes the curator, with absolute freedom to choose, but most importantly, with the right to decide what he/ she/ they want without questioning, or the need of the “expert advisors” involved. That’s the beauty of this madness. It’s fun, it’s happy, it’s easy and effortless. It’s freedom!

Madnesses is the piece of land where all the black sheep gather and feel they belong or are part of an equal family. When we see every day the sad, dangerous and ugly place that the world is today, artists bringing in their creativity and inspiring ideas not only need to be celebrated, but without doubt supported by every single human being out there who possibly can. It’s a balancing and protective act, which allows us to move forward and staying positive in the middle of chaos.

In a corporate world that over the years has uniformed us all with unnecessary mass produced everything, there’s more than ever the need for creativity, for questioning, for skipping the conventional, and for sticking to whoever you are no matter how the rest sees you.

There’s too much functional and boring stuff out there – over produced and over promoted that end up at the back of our cupboards or shelves without having any use. Whether functional or useless – for some, there is an infinite world of crazy beautiful things in here – not for everyone, just the ones who are out of their minds.
