Hello Gold by Nicky Backlund

Hello Gold is a beautifully handcrafted porcelain bowl, made in London by British ceramic artist Nicky Backlund. This delicate piece features a charming white duck with a gold beak emerging from the centre of a serene blue “pond,” forming part of her evocative Moment of Joy collection.

Inspired by quiet, everyday moments, Backlund’s work captures the subtle beauty of nature and transforms it into collectible ceramic art.

Nicky graduated at Central Saint Martins in 2024 and is continuing with an MA in Design.

This collection, Moments of Joy, evolved significantly through her research and making. The aim, to evoke a sense of joy from the viewer. To encourage reflection, as well as highlight the importance of time. Giving ourselves time to stop, reflect and most of all enjoy moments of joy.
