1998, Margiela was inspired to create a collection of “White Objects” that could be displayed alongside his work. The colour white is synonymous with Martin
Margiela, a symbol of uniformity, purity, and modernity - a white canvas and the starting point to create anything.

A collection of Objects and Publications first appeared
in 1999, when Martin Margiela was the brand’s creative director. This line is no longer produced.
