Inflated Lime Bike Bronze by Maxim Lester

Lime bikes are useful for some, an obstacle for others, and a symbol of capitalist creep on our public space. Originating from a 3D scan of a lime bike parked in Hammersmith, London, these forms are an exploration of a contentious product as a signifier alone, abstracting, scaling and inflating them beyond their function.

Care: To care for this bronze sculpture, dust it regularly with a soft cloth, wash it with mild soap and water when needed, and apply a protective wax coating at least once a year. Avoid harsh chemicals and never use metal polishes, and ensure the sculpture is completely dry before waxing.
