Description
Description
Jochen Holz's organic sculptural vase 4 is part of body of work inspired by nature, where roots or mutating creatures seem to appear emerging from the earth.
Amorphous, fluid and rare, each of the artist creations seem to be alive. This tricolour vase combines a matte dark green and a blue 'legs' or 'roots', holding an apricot body structure. This artist's vase is both material exploration and a collectible objet d'art for mad design or art collectors.
This is a one of a kind piece.
About The Designer
About The Designer
Jochen Holz is a London-based, German glass artist. Holz started working with glass at an early age, when he enrolled in a scientific lamp-working apprenticeship, honing his craft to a rigorous, technical standard. He then moved to the UK, where he studied at Edinburgh College of Art and The Royal College of Art, finding new and unique ways to apply his lampworking prowess in the art and design world.
In contrast to the formalised, repetitive methods of traditional lamp-working, Holz’s work celebrates spontaneity, improvisation, and pushing the boundaries of his given medium.
