Description

The Seeker explores longing, vulnerability, and the pursuit of connection. The hand as a head that symbolises both offering and reaching—an open gesture of communication and need. Tiny hands as feet emphasise movement guided by emotion and touch. The piece blends familiar elements in unfamiliar ways. Its pastel hues soften the surreal form, inviting empathy.

Crafted from wool using needle felting, the sculpture was built slowly and intentionally, mirroring the introspective nature of seeking. The Seeker is a symbolic creature—part dream, part reflection—asking what we offer, and what we hope to find.

A dream beast, or a cuddly mascot, this is a sculpture for those who are comfortable in the non-comfort zones, the curious, the dreamer and the daring unconventional art collector.

About The Designer

Mei Mei is a London-based sculptor known for her hauntingly delicate felted work. Her sculptures whimsical and uncanny, are crafted using a precise and intricate needle felting technique, her creations emerge from hand-dyed wool, shaped through countless motions of barbed needles to form richly textured, emotionally resonant forms.

With a distinctly dreamlike aesthetic, Mei Mei’s work invites quiet contemplation and connection, through the use of colour, soft gradients and a tactile appearance, making each sculpture not just an object, but a presence,
offering a poetic reflection on themes of identity, beauty boundaries, vulnerability, and transformation.
